A contemporary choir for adults in Essex
I joined Southend Vox after hearing a work colleague speak about how much she was enjoying singing, meeting new friends and challenging herself.
I was nervous when I started as I could not read music, but I needn't have been as everyone was very helpful and supportive. I've now been in the choir since 2012 and continue to enjoy myself.
I've made a lot of great friends and love being with my choir buddies. We've sung at some great venues and events which has helped my confidence, as there are always a certain amount of nerves involved. These no longer worry me as I know the whole choir work as one and support each other brilliantly.
If you love singing, whether it's in the shower, around the house or in the car and ever wondered, 'Could I really be good enough to be in a choir?', come along to Southend Vox and have a go!
