Established in 2009 Southend Vox, is a not-for-profit community choir based in Southend-on-Sea in Essex.

With around 50 members, the choir sings an array of pop songs, show tunes, gospel and contemporary choral pieces.

We love what we do and we love to use our singing to contribute to the community of Southend-on-Sea. We regularly perform within our community in the local town and surrounding areas and through our concerts, we have helped to raise money for various Local & National charities.

These have included: The British Heart Foundation, Southend Hospital, The Music Man Project, Parkinsons UK and Guide Dogs for the Blind, to name just a few.

We have also represented Southend-on-Sea further afield, performing at many prestigious venues including; Union Chapel, The London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall, as well as many local venues including the Palace Theatre, Cliffs Pavilion and Village Green.

Southend Vox also has an auditioned Chamber Choir, formed in 2014, which performs a variety of challenging and intricate pieces from contemporary arrangements to classical repertoire.

They won three awards including Best Senior Choir and Most Moving Performance in the Leigh-on-Sea Festival of Music and Drama 2018 and successfully progressed through to the second stage rounds of Choir of the Year 2016.

Our chamber choir has launched a package to cater for weddings and civil partnerships and were delighted to perform at three ceremonies in 2019.
